Infant Dedication
It is exciting when a new child enters a family. There is no greater moment than when parents acknowledge their child as a gift and responsibility given to them by God.
An infant dedication service is one in which the parents present their child before the Lord and the congregation and ask for His grace and wisdom to carry out their responsibilities. At that time, the parents make a serious vow to raise the child to the best of their ability with the help of the Lord. This is also a time in which the parents and the congregation pray that the child will one day accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Who may participate?
Dedications conducted in the service are provided for married couples, living by God’s biblical standards for marriage and family, who wish to dedicate themselves to the Lord in the presence of the church body. We encourage grandparents and close relatives to stand with their children during the dedication.
Parents requesting dedication of their child must be members of Resurrected Life Church International or regular attendees. All other requests are subject to approval. Once we receive your application and it is approved through the Senior Pastoral office, you will be contacted with the next available date for infant dedication.
Dedications are conducted during the Sunday 10:00 a.m. Service on the SECOND SUNDAY of each month as needed and as scheduled by the church office.
Other accommodations are provided for single or unmarried parents and will be considered on an individual basis.
What age child may participate?
Dedications are limited to newborns through six months.
Please read the infant dedication brochure BEFORE filling out the application or for more information.
